At AMK Container Services, we provide transparent and professional delivery services for shipping container orders throughout Australia.
We work with experienced external haulage and transport providers to arrange the safe transportation and unloading of shipping containers.
1. Shipping Costs & Coverage
| Delivery Area | Delivery Cost | Estimated Delivery Time |
|---|---|---|
| Victoria | A$210.00 per order | 4–10 business days from dispatch |
| New South Wales, ACT and South Australia | A$690.00 per order | 4–10 business days from dispatch |
| Queensland | A$990.00 per order | 4–10 business days from dispatch |

| Remote locations, multiple units, or orders requiring special access equipment | Additional charges may apply, agreed in writing before dispatch | 5–14 business days from dispatch |
We do not deliver to Tasmania or offshore islands. These locations are not available for purchase at checkout, and no quote will be offered for them.
Delivery is charged separately from the container price and is added at checkout.
Standard delivery is charged per order based on the delivery state: A$210 for Victoria, A$690 for New South Wales, the ACT and South Australia, A$990 for Queensland and A$1,490 for Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Your delivery charge is shown clearly at checkout before you pay — there are no hidden fees. For remote locations, multiple units, or orders requiring special access equipment, additional charges may apply; these will be confirmed and agreed with you in writing before dispatch.
2. Delivery Coverage
Our delivery service covers mainland Australia only:
- Mainland Australia (accessible sites) — standard delivery charged per order by state (A$210 VIC, A$690 NSW/ACT/SA, A$990 QLD, A$1,490 WA/NT).
- Remote locations, multiple units or special access equipment — additional charges may apply, confirmed and agreed in writing before dispatch.
We do not deliver to Tasmania or offshore islands under any service tier. These postcodes are excluded from checkout entirely.
The state delivery rates and their delivery windows are fixed and apply automatically based on the delivery postcode entered at checkout.
3. Order Processing
Orders are normally processed within 1–3 business days, Monday to Friday, following successful payment confirmation and order verification.
Once your order has been processed and delivery arrangements are available, our logistics team or delivery partner will contact you to arrange the delivery.
Processing time is separate from the delivery transit period below.
4. Estimated Delivery Time
| Stage | Timeframe |
|---|---|
| Order processing | 1–3 business days |
| Standard delivery transit | 4–10 business days from dispatch |
| Remote interior delivery transit | 5–14 business days from dispatch |
| Total (standard), order confirmation to delivery | ~5–13 business days |
| Total (remote), order confirmation to delivery | ~6–17 business days |
These are our estimated delivery timeframes. Delivery times can vary depending on:
- Product availability
- Delivery postcode
- Transport availability
- Delivery route
- Traffic and road conditions
- Weather
- Road restrictions
- Site accessibility
- Carrier availability
We will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of significant delivery delays.
5. Delivery Arrangements
Shipping containers are delivered using external haulage companies, carriers and specialist transport providers.
The delivery method and vehicle used will depend on the container purchased, delivery location and site conditions.
Once a delivery date has been arranged, customers should ensure that the delivery site is ready and accessible.
Exact delivery times can be affected by traffic, road conditions, previous deliveries and unloading requirements, and are confirmed with you ahead of dispatch.
6. Site Access & Unloading Requirements
Shipping containers are large and heavy products that require appropriate delivery equipment and suitable site conditions.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery site is suitable and safely accessible before delivery.
Before ordering, customers should ensure that:
- The delivery route can safely accommodate the delivery vehicle.
- The entrance and access route are sufficiently wide and suitable for a heavy commercial vehicle.
- There is sufficient space for the delivery vehicle to enter, manoeuvre and safely unload.
- The unloading area has solid, stable and suitable ground.
- The intended container placement area is reasonably level and free from significant obstructions.
- There is sufficient clearance from buildings, walls, gates, trees and other structures.
- There are no low-hanging cables, branches or other overhead obstructions that could interfere with delivery.
- Vehicles, equipment and other obstructions are removed from the access and unloading areas.
Customers should consider the dimensions and weight of both the container and the delivery vehicle when preparing the site.
If you are unsure whether your site is suitable, please contact AMK Container Services before ordering.
7. Unsuccessful Delivery
Our delivery partners will make reasonable efforts to complete delivery safely.
However, the driver may be unable to complete a delivery if the site is inaccessible or considered unsafe, including where there is:
- Insufficient access
- Insufficient manoeuvring space
- Unsuitable or unstable ground
- Blocked access
- Insufficient clearance
- Unsafe road or site conditions
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery information
If delivery cannot be completed because the site is unsuitable or inaccessible, the delivery will be rearranged for a later date.
Where a failed delivery results from site conditions, access restrictions, or other circumstances the customer is responsible for, a fixed redelivery fee of $150.00 AUD applies. This covers the cost of a second delivery attempt and is charged before redelivery is scheduled.
8. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address when placing an order.
If you need to change your delivery address after placing an order, please contact AMK Container Services as soon as possible.
A change of delivery address will be reassessed against our delivery rates in Section 1. If the new address is a remote location or requires special access equipment, any additional charge will be confirmed and agreed with you in writing before dispatch. If the new address is in Tasmania or on an offshore island, we are unable to fulfil the order at that address and will contact you to arrange a refund or an alternative mainland address. If the address change requires a delivery already in progress to be rerouted within mainland Australia, a fixed $150.00 rerouting fee applies in addition.
9. Delivery Inspection
Customers should inspect the container as soon as reasonably possible following delivery.
If you identify visible transport damage, discrepancies, defects or other issues relating to the delivery, please contact AMK Container Services within 24 hours of delivery.
Please provide photographs of the container and any reported issue where possible. Photographs may be requested to assist with our investigation.
10. Delivery Delays Beyond Our Reasonable Control
We make reasonable efforts to meet our estimated delivery timeframes.
However, circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally cause delays, including:
- Severe weather
- Traffic disruption
- Road closures
- Vehicle breakdowns
- Accidents
- Transport network disruption
- Government restrictions
- Unexpected logistical problems
- Other events beyond our reasonable control
Where a significant delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to inform customers and rearrange delivery as soon as practicable.
11. Delivery Preparation
To help ensure a smooth delivery, customers should prepare the site before the scheduled delivery date. This includes ensuring that:
- The delivery address is correct.
- The access route is clear.
- The unloading area is accessible.
- The ground is solid, stable and suitable.
- There is sufficient room for the delivery vehicle to manoeuvre.
- Overhead and side clearances are adequate.
- Vehicles, equipment and other obstructions have been removed.
- Any required permissions or access arrangements have been obtained.
Failure to prepare a suitable delivery site may result in delivery being delayed or unsuccessful.
